At ICAS Gallery, we specialise in creative bespoke framing for large and oversized artwork.
Our client, Dave, from Milton Keynes, visited the gallery with a unique hand-embellished block print that required a specialist framing solution. To showcase the beautiful edges of the fine handmade paper, we used a 12mm-deep float conservation mount, combined with a white slip, to create a striking deep-mounted finish.
The artwork was then framed in a contemporary Italian 85mm silver profile by the distributor Larson-Juhl, a Bedford-based company, and finished with UV Tru Vue glass to help protect the print from light exposure.
Once complete, the oversized frame, measuring 145cm x 120cm, was delivered safely to Dave’s home in Milton Keynes.
We hope this beautifully framed piece brings Dave, his wife, and their friends many years of pleasure and enjoyment.
