Sculptor Olive Wootton A.R.C.A A.R.B.S renowned for her
Mythological figurative Bronze and Wildlife collection
Biography:
Olive
Wootton was taught at Goldsmiths College and at the Royal College of Art. She
was tutored by the renowned sculptor, John Skeaping, and in 1955 was represented
in the Young Contemporaries Exhibition, London. Although Olive has exhibited throughout
her life, it is since the untimely death of her painter husband, Gordon Wootton,
that she has returned to sculpture with a renewed energy. She has exhibited with
a number of galleries, societies and selected groups and has enjoyed considerable
success with individual shows, in the British Isles and overseas. In recent years
she has shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and is an associate member
of the Royal Society of British Sculptors. Olive lives and works at her studio
in an attractive area of rural Northamptonshire. Her works are in Corporate
and private collection.
