Since moving to London, her work has consisted mainly of representational paintings in the medium of acrylics and oil on canvas and board. The main emphasis in her work continues to be the intensity of her colour palette, enhancing the subject and composition, being the trade mark for her new body of work. She has also cover the field of photography and three dimension form of sculptures in the medium of ceramics.
" Painting allows me to explore various concepts with colour, varying textures,
surfaces and brushwork to best depict my vision - seeking to scintillate the sense.
Beyond the composition of the painting, my main focus is colour which is saturating,
sensual, vibrant and intoxicating. I start with the preconceived composition,
and let the pigment colours develop instinctively ".
" Having
grown up in New England and settled in UK , I am always observing and thinking
about light, painting with colours to uplift and give energy. Interestingly, I
have noticed that the paintings I execute during the winter months have a very
bright palette, to counteract the lack of natural light, whereas during the summer
months the colours I use remain bright, but tend to have a deeper and darker intensity
".
