David Weston - Watercolour Landscape & Seascape Artist
We welcome David Weston Hertfordshire based artist to join our list of gallery artist. His collection of ten watercolour landscapes in the gallery covers scenes of Scotland, Wales, Yorkshire, Isle of Wight, Italy and Spain.
David's principle concerns are to portray the immensity of the landscape, its atmosphere, light, colour and texture and the treatment of its 'edges'. He works between direct response and imagination to produce landscapes and seascapes. There is an intention to evoke a feeling of place.
David obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art at Hertfordshire University. He is a member of The Royal Society of Miniature Painters Sculptures and Gravers, The Hilliard Society, The British Society of Miniaturists, The Miniature Art Society of Florida, The Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers, Miniature Art, The British Watercolour Society and Society of New Jersey. He has also exhibited with The Royal Institute, The New English Art Club, The Royal Society of British Artists, The Royal Society of Marine Artists and the National Society. Formerly a member of the Royal Watercolour's Society's Art Club he became a member of the British Watercolour Society since its formation.
He has exhibited in Paris, Geneva, Stckholm, Malmo and Lundt in Northern Ireland with the Ulster Society of Miniaturists, in Florida and Washington, in Canada and in Australia.
His original landscapes and seascapes have been admired and collected by National and International art lovers and collectors, private and corporate collectors including Barclays and National Westminster Banks
